Grinaker-LTA Limited has over time invested enormous effort into creating MS Excel templates to report financial information on weekly, monthly and annual basis. The Group wanted to improve the current reporting format and methodologies and therefore investigated alternative “consolidation” packages during 2005. We decided to implement RollupSheets in November 2005 as this was seen best to fit the Group requirements.
Implementation was phased in to include the consolidation of strategic plans, year-end statutory financial reporting, management accounts and weekly cash reporting.
Challenges faced included currency conversions and multiple reporting levels; this was overcome in a short period of time and to date the strategic plans and year-end statutory financial reporting modules were successfully implemented.
Our requirements were fully provided for in the way RollupSheets consolidates whatever data is reported in MS Excel format as well as the reporting and “drill” functionality when requiring detailed information.
The system was subject to review by the external auditors and clearance was given that the necessary security and reliability was built into the programme by providing for in-house administration levels as well as external audit access and sign-off.
Implementation management and support from the Infinitus Reporting Team was outstanding and compared to other similar implementations this was seamless.
I will recommend RollupSheets a consolidation solution for anyone using MS Excel.
